Are your Modular Homes mortgageable and insurable?
Mortgages are available for modular homes, however you may find it difficult with some financial institutions. Please contact us for if you wish to discuss more. Modular homes are fully insurable.

How does the foundation / concrete base work?
Your Steeltech sales executive will give you a Base Plan when puchasing your unit. You will then have your builder or a local conrete contractor complete the base for you.

How are Steeltech Homes heated?
You have various options when it comes to heating – most customers will use Electric Radiators, Electric underfloor heating or you can also opt for a traditional oil boiler.

How much will my finished Steeltech Home cost?
This really depends on the size and finish, along with the internal specification you choose. Our shell units start at €16,995 and run all the way up to €47,950 – you’ll then have the concrete base cost on top of this plus your internal fit out.

What are the advantages of a Steeltech Modular Home over other types of homes?

How long will it take to build my home?
Steeltech can typically complete all our Steeltech Homes on site in as little as 1 or 2 days.

Can I see the internal floor layouts of your pre-designs?
Absolutely – your Sales Executive can supply sample designs for all our Steeltech Modular Shell sizes.

What are the payment terms for a Steeltech Home?
25% deposit is payable on order, a further 50% is due at production stage (typically 4 weeks before delivery)
and the final 25% is due on delivery.

Can I use a Steeltech Modular for an extension?
Yes, our Modular frames are often used as extensions on to existing homes.

What is the lifespan of a Steeltech Home?
Due to our galvanised steel frame and PVC coated sheeting, our Homes are expected to last at least 100 years. A typical block built home is only guaranteed for 10 years with HomeBond.

What BER rating can Steeltech Homes achieve?
Steeltech Homes can achieve an A2 rating if completed to the recommended building regulations and specifications.

What are the typical access requirements for a Steeltech Home?
Steeltech require clear access from where our trucks can park, right the way back to your concrete base.

What options for external finish are available with a Steeltech home?
Steeltech offer a range of finishes right from the factory, but your local builder can also finish the exterior of the unit. These options include Natural ThinStone and Standing Seam Cladding. Your builder can also plaster the exterior like a traditional block build.
