Ireland Heads West for Emma
On the 28th and 29th of June next, the ‘Ireland Heads West for Emma’ Classic & Vintage Show takes place in Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway. To date there has been a huge interest in the show, with up to forty steam engines already confirmed to attend. Along with the numerous car clubs already booked in, this promises to be one of the biggest events of the year as enthusiasts rally to show their support for young Emma. A number of side attractions already confirmed include the first 2014 round of the Irish Vintage Scene Ferguson 20 Tractor-Building Competition, an original working ‘Connemara Potion’ (using water, of course!), timber-sawing by steam engines and also steam-powered stone crushing.
The event, which runs from 3pm on the Saturday, will have a host of musical entertainment and many other attractions, so it will be well worth the trip to the West.
A very special display of vehicles previously featured in Irish Vintage Scene will also take place, and we are calling on all previously featured vehicles to make a special effort to attend. With a good number already confirmed, this will be a unique opportunity to see these stars ‘in the flesh’.
Steeltech have sponsored the “Monster Raffle” with the main prizes being a 1969 Morris Minor Convertible and a 6m x 4m Steeltech Garage.
Steeltech will be in Ballybrit for the whole weekend at Stand 25 with a range of sheds and garages on display!
